
Preventative Maintenance should be done twice a year on Heat Pumps
and once a year on gas, oil, & electric heating and air
conditioning units to maintain efficiency and heat/cool properly.
Below is a checklist of a few of the service procedures:
Heat Pumps and Air Conditioning units
1. Check freon pressures
2. Inspect condenser and evaporator coils
3. Inspect for dirty filters
4. Test for proper volt and amp draw
5. Temperature Reading
6. Test relays, contactors, reversing valves, thermostats,
defrosters and all electrical controls and wiring
7. Make any needed recommendations
Electric Furnaces
1. Test heat strips and sequencers for maximum heat efficiency.
2. Inspect inside coil for proper air flow 3. Oil and grease motors
if required
4. Temperature reading
5. Check out control wiring, relays and test amp draw
6. Inspect for dirty filters
7. Check thermostat
8. Make any needed recommendations
Oil/Gas furnaces and Boilers
1. Pull and Clean burners if necessary
2. Vacuum out furnace
3. Oil and grease motors if required
4. Temperature reading
5. Check out control wiring, relays and test amp draw
6. Inspect for dirty filters
7. Check thermostat
8. Make any needed recommendations
